Airtel Revises 3G Data Tariff Plan across India citing competition

Even the mighty Airtel can not stand stiff to competition. Airtel is India’s biggest Telecom company and even they have to bend to competition that is all around them. I do not know why Airtel reacts so late on everything. I now use Aircel and I am pretty satisfied with it.

Airtel Revised plans can be opted for three months only for now. The validity of these plans are 30 days from the day of recharge.

Rs 103

Rs. 675

I remember in 2002 when Tata and Reliance ventured into telecom industry, even then Airtel was so late in reacting to the falling call rates. My father bought a Tata phone then just to make outgoing calls because there was a significant amount of difference in the call rates. In like two years time there were hardly any incoming calls on his Airtel number. In 2005 when I began going to college I was given the Airtel Number with a monthly budget of Rs. 200. Now days you can probably manage with that amount but not in 2005.

I agree that Airtel is a better operator but their late reaction is quite late. One more example Vodafone zoozoo campaign was a superhit during IPL. Today youngsters around me prefer Vodafone to Airtel. Airtel’s ‘har friend zaroori’ campaign might have saved the day but again they reacted late that too after MNP. The MNP results show that more people moved to Vodafone than Airtel. Then came in the ‘Har Friend Zaroori campaign’.

The most surprising fact even after so many late reactions they are still on top.
