Airtel Gprs Speed Sucks! Who is Responsible ?

Nowadays Airtel Gprs Speed is getting slower day by day, as I remember one year ago I received good service from airtel, the downloading speed was about 20-26 KBPS (200 kbps) . But now it had decreased to 2-5 KBPS not just in one region, everywhere its speed sucks. What the hell!

So, my question is who is responsible for this, generally people say that Airtel sucks, they claim that airtel itself is responsible for this situaltion . That could be a reason but I personally think that the gprs hacking is one of the main reason behind. Using of download managers could also be another reason.

I mean there are many techniques for gprs hacking available like Ucweb, Teashark or changing ip adress etc. There are many peoples who are using free Airtel gprs , even in my city I found many young lads who are enjoying free internet on pc\laptop through gprs, this techniques has now spreaded everywhere. Everyone wants free internet.

While people like me who are paying for this service and desire high internet speed are not getting the value of their money. This also led me to move on Reliance plug and surf internet, which gives good speed of 160 kbps.

  1. i m also facing such condition my gprs works slow at certain time some time its speed become zero in full signal and in range, my suggetion is that airtel himself should decide to compensate the charges back to their consumer

    air tel is responsible for slow speed if some body hijaked the system ,it is the responsibility of system provider to protect the system till consumer end.for example if breadwala brings tore packet of bread to ur door will u take that packet i m sure no, than who will take responsibility sure k bread wala will take them back and he will compensate him self ,like this airtel is also responsible for not securing their loop hole

AIR TEL IS CHEATER I DISCONNECTED MY GPRS FROM MY MOB BUT THEY CONTINUOUSLY DEDUCTED GPRS CHARGES FOR 1/2 A MONTH,WHILE I WAS TALKING N COMPLAINING 2 CUSTOMERCARE REGULARILY BUT EACH DAY THEY WERE ASSURING ME K FROM TODAY NO CHARGE WILL BE DEDUCT AGAIN IN MORNING THEY DEDUCT THE CHARGE,ON INTERROGATION THEY SIMPLY REPLY SIR WE R SORRY OUR SERVER IS DOWN PL CALL AFTER 1OR 2 HOUR,AFTER THAT ON CUSTOMER CARE NO BODY WILL ATTEND UR CALL AND A PRE RECORDED VOICE WILL COME (PLEASE SEND UR QUERRIES WITH IN ….WORDS TO 121 WE WILL CONTACT U WITH IN 24 HOURS,I ASK 1 QUESTION TO BLOODY CHEATER WHO WILL COMPENSATE FOR WRONG DEDUCTION AND HARRASMENT

    We are going to Increase the price and not give anykind of services,and when you (the customer calls) make lame excuses to delay and not solve the problem.

    I have been using airtel Mobile office since last 3 years …. on 2 different sim cards prepaid and billing from the same location ( my home , Mumbai Central (East) …

    When i first got Prepaid mobile office …. before 3 years

    Price per day for Unlimited internet 7 Rs/ Speed which i got about 12 to 20 KBps download …… very good ….

    Before a year and a half ……
    Price Per day for unlimited internet 15 Rs/ Speed which i got about 7-9 KBps download …. okey dokey …..

    Since last six months or so ……
    Price per day for unlimited Internet Rs 25 / Speed which we get …..less than 1 Kbps …. 200 to 250 and max 400 bytes / Sec ….

    All in all useless speaking to all their Customer care associates …

    when i complained about slow browsing from PC by using mobile office airtel

    also informed them that i also have vodafone and aircel whose speed are working good using the same pc,cable and mobile …….

    but only when i connect airtel i get slow speed ….using the same pc,cable and mobile

    the excuses i got from them …

    1. Please use another mobile
    2. your setting are having problem … please delete and setup configuration again ….
    3. clear the cache
    4. Use any other browser ….
    5. remove opera mini from your mobile and install bolt
    6. your sim might have some problem please get it checked in the airtel retail store
    7. Switch off the phone and then switch it on and try again later.
    8. Reset your mobile to factory default.
    9.Your problem will be solved in 24 hours …i.e. 24 working hours means atleast 3-4 days ….
    etc etc etc …….

    Hello guys i am using airtel 98Rs 2Gb plan , initailly it was 100 mb in the day and 2GB in the night for 30 days, and the night hours were from 12am to 8 am.and early morning 5 am i was downloading some file of 111mb, and just after 98mb were downloaded it just stopped and showed my balance was 0.00 rs,and i checked it said 1948mb remaining that means it deducted from my day download limit and also ate my money,called the cusromer care,and told them if you want to check i can show in my mobile logs for download session info, and they send dont worry we will get it solved and get a refund but will give a call back in 10 days,the fraud representative called and said sir this is a call from airtel you had made some complaint an before i could even say something he started saying on his own DO YOU WANT ANY OTHER HELP,OK THEN THANKYOU FOR USING AIRTEL, bloody pack of cheaters and fraud.

    airtel gprs sucks!!!!!!!!i am unable to upload or download anything…speed is 0.2-1.5 kbps..contacting customercare is of no use…i will nevr use it again and will advice others not to use it…

    Very very slow GPRS service. IMO if I use my mobile for downloads for 24X7 even then I wont be able to consume anywhere around 2GB. The 2GB cap is a value that doesn’t comes into picture. And yes so the GPRS is unlimited! (wow great!)

    I think such a snail service should come as free VAS :) , as Airtel is doing nothing to improve it. Speed is soooo slooooww that even an increased user base will make no difference.

    Airtel make the GPRS free.

    And even then some of the guys like me will not like to use your free service :P

    Before having Airtel I was having a Reliance Smart connection (MP circle when I was there). 20KBps download speed, unlimited, expensive! but was having peace of mind.

    At critical times/situations I cant rely on Airtel GPRS.

    Talking about a different operator TATA DOCOMO, they have a similar GPRS plan @Rs 48

    i am a postpaid airtel customer, Edge speed before the introduction of 98 pack was 160 kps and now its 10-30 kpbs.

    i am protesting by not paying my monthly bill till speed come back to the level it was few months ago.

    all you guys do the same thing , no bill payment means no revenue, & airtel will learn form it.

    use reliance tata idea or bsnl for gprs for good speed. at least they keep the promise of a BIG Brand.

    when i purchased modem of airtel…first month i got very satisfactory speed..later speed gradually decreased…i thought server problems,tower problem of my locality..but after through customer service which presents a good official presentation but works nothing promised me that tower would be correct and after 3 days send me message that your issue has been resolved.later i tested many operators …i turned my win 7 to xp and other os….but all in vain….lastly i got good results with RELIANCE NETCONNECT ..uninterrupting speed and all time…i wud recommend u all to switch there but if u want much higher speed with less price purchase a micromax data card 352 g and bsnl 3 g plan and opt for 274 prepaid unlimited or 249 postpaid…also ucan use 98 rs 2gb or 175 rs 3gb plan…..and use tata photon plus or mobile broadband in metros like kol ,mumbai etc…….believe me…this is economic and high speed process

    i have airtel sim form 4yrs & i am regular user of airtel gprs (whn only 395Rs plan available for gprs) i got airtel speed of 25-35 kbps Transfer rate. but the main problem is Speed 0.00 KBPS on Full Network bar & Slow Connectivity . some time the connection not end without resart the phone i have N9300 Communicator
