Bsnl 3G frequent disconnection problem

Of late my 3G data connection suffered from frequent disconnections. I noticed that it was because I kept the connection idle for sometime.
So, inorder to make the connection active always, I opened a command prompt, typed ping -t www.google.com an pressed enter. My computer constantly pinged google’s server and kept my connection active. This way my connection remained intact

    I have purchase 3 G. internet – modem, the problem is it is automatically disconnected by unknown reason. In help menu there is no remarks on it. Help line is also not working. it is locked (1800 180 1503) . Speed is not as per the mentioned by BSNL. I am getting speed 50.KBPS anstead of 3.2 MBPS.

    How to to get the solution ? Who will trust them ? Are they real 3 G or 1. G ?

    ^BSNL has promised only 3.6mbps… not 3.6mBps.. There’s a difference in “b” and “B”
    8b=1B.. so 3.6mbps is around 450kBps…
    Usually u should be getting around 120 to 300 kBps…
