I m using Rs. 230 plan in Prepaid GPRS and speed showing is 450 kbps but works only 10 to 15 kbps, do you have any plan in Prepaid GPRS, i mean more than Rs. 230 like 300, 350 or else, I want to extend my internet speed in Prepaid GPRS activation, I m here and waiting help from your side.

well well dudes let me clarify .
Unlimited GPRS on BSNL prepaid is present and cost differ from state to state.
for example in orrisa unlimited gprs for one month cost Rs.99
and the same scheme cost 197 in punjab.
In west bengal such schemes is not present(customer care says) for the moment.
But fiends it is true that BSNL is providing unlimited GPRS at very nominal cost.
I myself used it in JHarkhand(monthly 122 gprs pack). Speed is awsome, great. I didn’t xpectd such a good service from BSNL.

If u r really ready to pay then use data card or 3G
DATA CARD COSTS sumwhr around 700(one time) + monthly plan charges(u have to pay it every month)
and another 450 kbps is the maximum speed between ur modem and ur lap or PC , it is not the net speed.

this is a better option in lowest coast unlimited gprs access.

maine aapki trick apne 3g data card par follow ki, par sim 2g hi use kiya hai, network to 3g par connected dikha raha hai, par downloading speed 30 kbps ke aas paas hi mil rahi hai…
Data card mein network HSPA hi select kiya hua hai, is sey network to 3g catch kar raha hai, ab kya speed ke liye mujhe 3G sim lekar, bina 3G activate karaye, normal prepaid unlimited gprs pack lekar net chalana hoga?

I’m using Micromax MMX 300G data card in lucknow,
I’ve selected HSDPA mode, “H” is displaying on signal menu,
but still not getting the download speed more than 30-32 kbps,
I’ve read your mobile handset w705 specifications on net, which supports HSDPA 7.2 Mbps & HSUPA 2 Mbps.
My 3G data card supports HSDPA 3.6 Mbps, but no HSUPA..
BSNL not offering the speed more than 3.2 Mbps i.e. My datacard have 3.6 Mbps HSDPA support, on 2100 MHz, but no HSUPA support, that’s is only thing differs from ur mobile set’s HSPA specification.
That’s why i’m confused why i’m not getting the download speed more than 30-32 Kbps… Is that due to lack of HSUPA support?
Pls. help me.. i want the same download speed as u r getting

As per ur comment 30-32kbps means 3-4 KBPS transfer rate on HSPA supported network ?????????????????????
Transfer rate may vary from file to file downloads. It depends on the location of ur downloading server and various other factors are thr….
Try downloading files different files frm differnt locations and then post ur comment…………

I’m getting 30-32 KBPS
On an average same downloading speed i’m getting for all downloads from various sites..
I’ve checked my download & upload speeds on the site http://www.speedtest.net & http://www.pcpitstop.com/Internet/bw.asp
on speedtest.net i’ve got download speed 0.25 Mb/sec & upload speed 0.12 Mb/sec, which means 5 MB download will take near about 3 minutes.
On http://www.pcpitstop.com/Internet/bw.asp i’ve got the result -
Download Speed: 253 kbps (31.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 112 kbps (14 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 712 ms
I had tried my uncle’s data card at the same place 15 days back, it was giving 150-200 KBPS downloading speed, 100 MB data was downloaded in 10 minutes.
I’m using the data card with the same brand name & model no. as my uncle, but purchased from different place.
I don’t know if there is any change of its technical specifications which the company had made (He had purchased his data card from kanpur 2 months back).
I’ve tried downloading many files from different locations but getting the same speed..
I don’t know why i’m not getting the same speed which i had got with my uncle’s data card although both are same brand name & model no. Micromax MMX 300g

Ya Samar, I have seen same thing on some SIM cards.
When u r dialing *123*2#, u will get the same message that u r having only 69 Free MBs Left in ur GPRS Pack.
So, don’t worry….. 69 MBs will remain 69 MBs.
Use as much as data as u want……their is no data limit on BSNL Unlimited GPRS Pack. Still No volume based GPRS Plans are launched by the BSNL. Volume based plans are only available for 3g Subscribers.

Ashish I think u have selected 3G Network, but ur data card is running on EDGE Network only.
Please be sure that 3G Signal is available in ur area, whr u r using the same.
It happens sometimes that if the 3G signal strength is weak in ur area, it will automatically switched to 2G Network. (GPRS or EGPRS)
Better select the network Manually.
I think this will solve ur problem.

kahin yahaan lucknow mein bsnl waalo ne apne server to nahi upgrade kar diye, ki jis se 2g aur 3g sim ka properly demarkation ho jaye aur 2g sim par 3g waali speed na mile….

FRNDS, MAXIMUM 30 KBPS SPEED ISLIYE AA RAHI HAI BECAUSE U R USING BSNLNET OR BSNLWAP ACCESS POINT.
USE ONLY GPRSNORTH.CELLONE.IN AS YOUR ACCESS POINT N U WILL GET 200 KBPS-225 KBPS OF TRANSFER RATE.
BUT THIS ACCESS POINT IS ACTIVE ON OLD SIM CARDS. AND IF U HAVE PURCHASED AFTER SEPTEMBER, BY DEFAULT, U WILL GET THE BSNLWAP AND BSNLNET ACCESS POINTS ON YOUR SIM CARD.
I HAVE PURCHASED A NEW PRE PAID AND ACTIVATE THE GPRS ON THE SAME AND BSNLWAP AND BSNLNET ARE WORKING ON THE SAME AND SPEED IS ONLY 30KBPS.

please send me gprs setting for b$nl 230 plan(for rajasthan north zone), i use this plan but i am not able to open or excess my id in any massenger like in(yahoo massenger or gmail massenger)and i am also not able to open orkut. after submit my password and id name(in orkut login page)when i click sign in , my browser shown that “redirecting” at title bar of browser and in stats bar. i dont know why this is showing and not openning my id. (i called (bsnl)customer care so many time but they make excuses or abous so many time they did not tell me what should i do.(because i think also they dont know bcz they are just (5)panchvi fail not pass),i think they are just there for timepass and get money that we paid for service).i called last evening about 7.00 pm and they took my call after 10 minets and told me that “he said me(customer care”nonsence panchvi fail”)” please i am tranfering your call to our tachnical opertor and after that he(costomer care)never recived my call at all. i just had to wait for 56 munites and totally wested my time. i am really so angry about that (no one single company(in india) can provide that type completlly fucking or bad service).so before pachasing any sim or service of this fucking company, think thousend times

will bsnl gprs run on nokia 6030? when i tried to configure it, i got a msg that ‘only 20 sets allowed’ and the settings were not saved n were discarded. which is the other cheapest handset that will support bsnl gprs if not my nokia 6030? is buying nokia 2730 classic the best way out to use bsnl 2g unlimited gprs though it is 3g enabled?

I am using BSNL unlimited GPRS Plan for Rs. 99 in Orissa.
It is very very very very SLOW . sometimes it opens only Google home page then nothingelse. You can say it is very bitter experience to be with BSNL. I suggest switch over to other service providers and kick out BSNL from India.

But the problem is always fail Browsing, try again try again, it fails 6 time in 10 times. so this is not possible to Browse any Bank sites or Ticket buying sites like Irctc.co.in,
my all Friends faces same problem in their Computers.

maine aapka feedback padhne k baad ek HSDPA 3.5G data card khareeda hai aur usme bsnl 2G SIM with unlimited GPRS use kar raha hun magar jaisi speed aap bata rahe hain waisi speed nhi mil rahi hai, downloading speed kewal 30-35 kbps mil rahi hai,
network selection mein kewal 1 connection 3G bata raha hai magar use select kar k connect karne par connect nahi ho raha…..
according to u what would b the reason for that pls reply i m waitin for ur rply!!!!!

With due respect to jayantilal ji guys in jharkhand ranchi as i v already told m getting dwnload speeds upto 120_50kbps constantly on my musi express .why dont u guys simply buy a 3g sim charge it wth 122 plan in jhknd of course i dont know bout other states, use 5230even and c the diff?

Hello everybody, Jayantilal is right. I am in Jharkhand, earlier I had unlimited gprs of RS.122/- in my nokia 5800 xpressmusic 3g enabled and was enjoying very good internet speed. Today I recharged with RS.274/-(revised unlimited gprs pack)and also enjoying the same. Speed is fast enough for surfing and downloading. For gprs setting go to bsnl customer care with your handset having minimum account balance Rs.50/- they will set gprs. Then you check whether it is working or not. If everything is ok then recharge with Rs.274/- unlimited gprs pack and enjoy.For getting good speed your handset should be 3g enabled. Hope this will help you all.

Mr Jayanti Lal , mere 3 doubts clear kar do bas :-
1. Ye old BSNL sims ka kya chakkar hai ? agar main 2006 se activated sim ko use karu to kya downloading speed 245 KBPS tak milegi (using “gprsnoth.cellone.in” as APN) ?
Yaar ab to “gprsnoth.cellone.in” APN kaam nahi kar raha hai (in new sims atleast).
2. Plus Ye baat ZAROOR ZAROOR batana ki tum jis old sim ko use kar rahe ho ,usme operator logo mein kya dikhata hai :- “BSNL MOBILE” ya “Cellone” , and does that make any difference (i mean A. Khan pointed that only those sims that show “cellone” will work for this trick).
3. UP(East) mein tumne try kiya hai, abhi kahan try kar rahe ho ? I m interested in UP(East).

jayantilal ji plzzz help me sir. in my nokia n79 which supports 3g hsdpa 3.6 mbps download speeds i bought a 2g bsnl sim card and got the unlimited gprs plan which is now 274 rs . i selected 3g mode manually and the apnh as you said. my phone connected in 3.5 g mode ie hsdpa but i do not get speeds above 35 KBPS max leave aside 250 KBPS.even afer using internet download manager . maybe bsnl has rectified this loophole.
kindly guide me sir how to get actual 3 g speeds.i m just 300 metres from 3g tower of bsnl.

or haa ye naya purana number ka loocha zara humko bhi clear kar dena yaar……………………..ummed hai is baar poore dawedaari ke sath miloge…have a nice day.

yep mahi i do agree bout jayantilals fishy character he is not making things much clear. As i v already made clear that in ranchi after chngng my 2g sim to 3g m getting speed of dwnloading upto 120kbps yes there is a bit of catch that this happens mostly in morning upto 10 o clock .and u guys must undrstnd diff between class32 and class10 gprs/edge any querries?

I’ve 3G MMX USB Modem from BSNL and It is installed on my IBM Thinkpad T60. It asks me to make a connection profile but when I click on connection profile it doesnt open anything, while I can see the same on my compaq Laptop. Any idea what could be the problem. Any help wud be highly appreciated.

mujhe bhi 2g sim par downloading speed 200 KBps se zyada mil rahi hai, par haan shaam ke waqt speed zaroor kam ho jaati hai, par din bhar speed achchhi milti hai…
Par doston aap logo ki complaint bhi galat nahi hai, actually saara chakkar sim ka hai..
sim ki alag alag series hain, kuchh series ke 2g sim, 3g waali speed detey hain aur doosri series ke sim maximum 30-35 KBps ki hi speed hi detey hain..
maine apne data card par kai sim use karke dekhe hain, ek hi jagah par ek hi time par alag alag sim se speed mein kaafi difference milta hai, kuchh sim 30-35 KBps se zyzda speed nahi detey, par kuchh sim 200-300 KBps tak ki download speed detey hain..
Mujhe 2g sim par 330 KBps tak ki downloading speed mili hai..

tumne jo no. bataya hai woh tumhare cell no. ke shuru ke 5 no.s hain, sim no. sim ke upar likha hota hai.
tumhe achchhi speed chahiye hai to 3g network select karna hoga, jo ki tumhare mobile set nokia 5130 se possible nahi hai, kyuki woh nokia 5130 ek 2g set hai, aur 2g network se zyada achchhi speed nahi mil sakti.

Jayantilal is not a lier… main aisa isliye bol raha hoon kyuki usne jo speed batayi hai wohi speed mujhe bhi mil rahi hai, balki kabhi kabhi to downloading speed 340-345 KBps tak bhi pahuch jaati hai…
maine jab apna data card liya tha to main bhi shuru mein kaafi pareshaan hua tha, kyuki maine apne friend ke data card ki speed dekhi thi jo ki 150-200 KBps tak milti thi, aur mujhe sirf 30-32 KBps tak hi mil rahi thi…
maine is par bahut research & finally i got succeed to get good speed..
Isliye main yeh jaanta hoon ki Jayantilal jhooth nahi bol raha hai.. haan par yeh zaroor hai ki shaayad woh khud bhi nahi jaanta ki usey itni speed kyu mil rahi hai aur doosron ko kam kyu mil rahi hai..
Is site par dosron ki help karne se kisi ka koi faayada nahi hona hai phir bhi agar koi doosron ki help karne ki koshish karta hai, aur badle mein usey gaali milti hai to khud hi socho ki usko kaisa feel hoga…
isiliye main apni taraf se koi solution is page par nahi dena chahta kyuki agar usko apply karne par bhi kisi ko achchhi speed nahi mili to shaayad mujhe bhi gaaliyan sun-ney ko milengi…
main bas ek advice dena chahuga ki agar koi tumhari help karna chahta hai par usmein success nahi milti to agar usey uski koshish ke leye bhale hi thanks mat bolo par kam se kam gaali bhi mat do, warna future mein koi bhi kisi ki bhi help karne ke liya aagey nahi aayega…

You guys are doing something terribly wrong.I own a Micromax 372g modem and I am getting ~350 KB/S (which is equal to ~ 2800 kbps) i.e. 2.8 Mbps.
I will suggest you to go and learn how to configure hardware,learn things yourself others,including Bsnl Customer Care,wont bother helping you.

hahhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa …………………… sab mare ja rahe hai …………. ek baat ko dus baar puchte hai mai final baat batata hu aap sabhi ko bsnl ka unlimited internet downloading nd surfing 274 ka ho gaya hai ab only for 30 days means 1 month . maine huawei ka 3g modem mai bsnl ki 2g sim mai 274 ka recharge karwaya or net surf kiya isme normal speed 25 se 35 countinuous aa rahi hai …….. aur downloading karne par maximum 100 kbps tak pahuch jati hai … baise ye sab aapke area aur network means signals par depeand karta hai agar ache network aa rahe hai to 100 kbps se upar bhi aa sakti hai downloading par kabhi kabhi ……magar minimum 25 to 35 kbps to aani hi hai … it is true ……. micromex ki 3g modem par bhi yahi speed aaygi …. bsnl se achi speed koi bhi nahi de sakta … bsnl aur airtel ka 450 unlimited in uttar pradesh ,,, aur kuch puchna chate ho to personal male kare mujhe …. mai reply karunga ,,,, yaha par kam hi aata hu
