It is bullshit and false comments.In all Tata Tru-Hub/Tata Hub OMH supported sim available in cost of Rs.99.00.Only your old Tata Indicom sim will convert into Tata Photon keeping your mobile contact no same.And this new sim will not work at old type CDMA mobile set.Internet is browsing in this new sim in amazing speed.

My handset is showing both EVDO and 1x Signal bars at full strength but the moment you connect the browser, it is connecting at

It is avaliable at all Reliance outlets. It has an OMH sign on it(BLACK COLOUR DIAMOND SAME AS ON SAMSUNG CORBY BOX)
OMH SIM cards are available from Reliance, Tata, Virgin, MTS and BSNL. As Abhishek mentioned, look for the OMH sign at the retail outlet.

Samsung if you are reading this then I highly recomend you to come up with a new firmware which can fix the current bugs… this would save your reputation in the market… as it is the CDMA operators are TATA and Reliance both are as good as each other… you know what i mean ..? I remember calling their customer care on last week of december they had no idea about samsung corby speed and even your customer care guys were equaly dumb none of them had each others knowledege .. where as it is expected to ..!

Recently Tata has launched the OMH – (Open Market Handset) based sim. just go to Tata indiccom and ask them to upgrade your existing SIM to OMH sim – good news is that you will get 15 GB of data download free for 2 months without any extra cost.
I puchased SCH-F339 (Corby Speed)for my Tata Indicom CDMA connection.
No details about the specifications are available on Samsung site.
You have mentioned that this phone comes with FM recording but I could not find the buttons / key to record a FM.

I have Purchased Samsung Corby Speed and Its i working Fine with OMH card. Even High speed is working with help of reliance Netconnect Help 1800 3000 5555 (toll Free).
But Please tell me what you will do with High Speed as The hand set has low resolution so Big text don’t let you see mails properly. Secondly major flaw in this Handset is it “”DOES NOT SUPPORT APPLICATIONS SUCH AS GMAIL,GOOGLE MAPS, YOU TUBE, MINI OPERA, YAHOO GO AND ALL LOT AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET”" So if you are not able to use applications why do you need Corby Speed.
You should wait for number Portability and convert your CDMA Into GSM and than use any handset including Samsung corby for GSM which is even cheaper and use all applications.
In The Last I will Say Don’t Buy Corby Speed for Data, But Corby Just because you don’t have better choice than corby for looks and style in CDMA.

Hey ppl u can buy a Corby Speed as i have one and i got a OMH Sim from Tata Indicom although 3 weeks after my purchase of the phone, but doesnt matter its fast, and awesome. But the only thing i cant find is FM recording feature as claimed by Samsung.

Facts (am a TATA Indicom subscriber)
-use only OMH Cards, comes along with the handset, insist on OMH card from the seller and you will need an Insta Change Card, also both available at the Tata Indicom Branded outlets…
-open internet browser and open the sites like gmail, hotmail, yahoo, rediff, …..for the first time save them as bookmarks….beleive me you will love it..
-not to forget you tube…..its works superb….
-the CDs which come along with the handset does not work for windows 7…..works for older versions…..samsung team does not know when they will come out with W7 compatible version.

It need OHM sim to use internet and I am using it.Basically the sim u should get it free with mobile.Try purchasing from Tata Show room for Tata users.
I am using internet connecting to my laptop and I am getting 921 kpbs speed.
The phone support 2.3 Mbps but the sim give u 921 kpbs only.
I feel 9000 is worth for touch phone.
Battery back is not as expected(As u all know Samsung has poor battery back up)

Hi all i bought this mobile last week frm sangeetha mobile store in Hyderabad. When i tried with my old reliance sim, the internet is connected. There are very limited options for CDMA customers. It looked like it’s a great phone. The User manual is just so bad. There is no customer service number to call. Samsung is so horrible. There is no FM. The user manual says FM Radio option will appear after connecting the headset. Nothing of that sort appears. Can some Samsung representative help all these customers? Hai, I purchased Samsung Corby CDMA SCH-F399 on 18th may 2010, am using OMH card of reliance service, As far as net connect its not all that effective, may be I am yet to know of its functions. Do hope the Samsung people would give further guidence?

Phone works perfect. OMH cards available with service provider or Samsung. Dont pay more than 100 for it. Get it activated at the service provider for free. getting EVDO activated is a pain, but when done from the provider its a sail. The speeds are fantastic. Live tv is great, channels need to improve. Its good for a start at least. Overall get buy.

I too got a new phone recently. I did not get OMH card from my vendor so visited nearby RIM store and got it for just Rs. 25/- (Some RIM stores are charging Rs 250 for the same card.)

Just a month back I got this CORBY SPEED and I was rather forced to wait for couple of weeks to get OMH Card from Reliance who charged me Rs.100/-. I don’t know whether the price of an OMH card is justifiable or not but I would much appreciate if SAMSUNG itself could have provided it with this model. Other than that the mobile is to my expectation. One thing I would like to point out to you guys is that your Owner’s Manuel is not that elaborate and the color combination is dull and the elderly people like me finds it difficult to read because of the background color – which is of poor selection. Instead if it is in yellow with black letters, it would have been much better and easier for people like me to read without much difficulty. Please look into it.

Bought samsung corby tv with great hopes of browsing on EVDO speed as it is EVDO Rev.A. I fulfill all requirements of EVDO like,
-Using OMH Sim Card.
-Subscribed to data package.
-Handset is EVDO.
My handset is showing both EVDO and 1x Signal bars at full strength but the moment you connect the browser, it is connecting at
1x Speed only. Even with PC Connection, the speed is 1x only. so how to activate the EVDO service

which connecion u r using reliance or tata.. 1 most important is that we cant download http://www.getjar.com any of the gatjar application, once we try this application it is showing as this phone is not supported.. so we cant able to use any googlechat or msn chat even if we have internet.
To activate OMH card (Reliance ) i hv asked to turn off Line 1 & nam 1 options. but i couldn’t found those options in my mobile.

My Samsung Corby Speed (with upgraded OMH card) was working beautifully till about a few weeks back. First the data services stopped functioning, on speaking with Reliance Customer Care I realized that nobody knew what the problem was. Eventually I resigned to the fact that I need to take my phone to the Samsung Service Center (yes, I was dreading it). For various reasons I wasn’t able to take the phone to the Service Center, and honestly, I was able to live without data services. However, for the past 4-5 days, even voice services have stopped. The network strength keeps oscillating and no calls go through. Even when sometimes it shows full network strength, the phone shows “no network available”! Initially I thought it was a Reliance network issue, but after testing other Reliance phones at the same locations, I figured that it was only a problem with my handset.
Has anyone else faced similar issues? Is there a solution to this problem with a visit to the Samsung Service Center?
Would be great if someone can shed some light on the situation.

I am facing a similar problem. I am using Reliance CDMA connection with OHM card for my Samsung Corby SPEED bought in Jan 2010.
I had visited the Reliance Store for the problem related to the web browser not being able to access https site.But they could not help and said they will get back..
Though I was unable to access any https site in the web browser but atleast I was able to access http site like yahoo mail and facebook(password was sent as text ).
I used to use the internet only for the above to sites.
But from last week neither yahoo mail or facebook gets launched.. I see blank empty screen with no messages/errors.
The only site which is working is Google.

yes, you can record the calls in this phone. Here are the steps:
1. Make a call
2. As you must have experienced that, during the call, the screen gets locked.
So as a second step, press the screen unlock button located on teh right –
hand side of the phone.
3. Select ‘More’ option while being on the call.
4. Select ‘Record call’ option.
The call will start getting recorded.
Once the call is disconnected or you end the recording, the recorded call will automatically get saved into your phone’s memory. It gets saved in the ‘my files’ > sounds>’voice memory’ folder.

However, Recording call option is too worest. Practically it is very very difficult. One cannot ask the caller to wait to select required options. Looks easy but practically very difficult. With this The very purpose call recording is defeated.
SAMSUNG MUST COME UP WITH USER FRIENDLY LIKE NOKIA, if really they wanted to come up in Indian
Market. I am simulteneously using NOKIA.
This option is very very user friendly in NOKIA. Either In coming our Out going, first system propmts Recording Options
ie. Call Recording: Yes or No. select and simply accept call. Your incoming or out going automatically gets recorded.

I can use youtube, yahoo google, gtalk, gmaps sync with my outlook calendar.
The list of problems with this phone are:
1. Exchange ActiveSync. The phone reboots everytime i save the settings.
2. cant install widgets
3. cant change sms tone
4. No custom themes
rest works fine
this phone is awesome for surfing & downloading but after sometime mobile browser does not work. then you have to need software update.

New technology OHM is good if you are using internet in mobile, the speed is fast enough.
but if you will try to connect to inetrnet…. it will refuse to make internet connection,
because change in the port setting.
So don’t change your normal UIM to R-UIM.
UIM connects with computer easily……
this problem with all CDMA samsung mobile phones……..

I have done the syn with the PC snyc, The back up cvs file was restored, then phone stored in the phone book is more than 900, but on search i could not able to find the match, once if i dial the number fm key pad then after 4th digit the name is appearing an the screen. what’s the problem how to rectify.
what i observe was names were store in adiabatically order am A to Z again there is a break in b/w and restared fm A to Z, only former can be found in the search but latter is not able to find fm the phone book!
