i bought this cell on 8th feb…..initially i wasnt sure abt the performnce of samsung.but now aftr a month of usage i am sooooo happy wth this masterpiece…sound quality of the headphone and the speakrs is superb. the wifi is amazing and bluetooth trnsfr rate is bttr thn nokia, touchscreen is version2…i.e latest and far sensitive than the nokia 5800..battry backup with normal usage is around 3 days…though it takes around 2.5 hrs fr gettng the battry to the full chrgng. yestrday i activated the gprs in my cell and its pretty decent as compared wth the othr sets in the market….plz note corby series has hit the nokia market severely…..hahaha nokia guys beware coz the corby is here !!

If you fully charge the mobile then the battery backup is 2 days after using internate applications n music player. It took more time to get charged fully

about wifi… you cannot use it as modem… u can only get connected to internet from modem through wifi in ur phone… incase in ur home or office u hav internet access u can activate wifi in ur mobile and get connected to internet and start using it… benifit of this plan is ,it is very costly to use internet from respective connection lik airtel etc(specially double charge when used in mobile)… so u can use internent in ur mobile and pc but in single bill not double bill for ur pc and mobile seperate…

I have bought it last week and i think all the features are good and I am loving it. The only problem is i think the battery will last only for 1.5 to 2 days and also it has no qwerty keypad option…I rated it 9 out of 10 because of battery backup.

And Video compatibility is also bad as compared to Nokia.

I purchased corby-3g on April 9th , the cost is 9,950 in hyderabad.
By using this I am feeling very happy. Image clarity , Sound especially headset out put superb, because it is having 5.1 Surrounding facility. Battery back up is also good, dont worry about this.

I bought this mobile on april 14th for just rs.8800 wit 2gb memory stick in chennai….yes ofcourse there is a front camera for video calling…and i am very happy wit the performance of the mobile…good style and audio quality….no flash and the cam quality is good under good lighting conditions…if u want 2 c d pictures taken in the mobile just mail me at watson.vijay@gamil.com….and atlast batery backup is poor oly 3hrs talktime and i hav experienced it…..overall good value for money….u cant buy some other phone at the same rate wit these features…

Can any1 tell me where I can find the LCD display for this mobile. I checked almost everywhere including Samsung showroom and local shops in Hyderabad but its not available.

Hi, All guys I think all readers have some misunderstanding regarding Samsung Corby M5650. Most readers had written about the camera and battery backup and qwerty support, Now the solution is :-
1) for battery backup disable the Wifi and bluetooth which is by default is always enabled. It will extend the backup time.
2) for camera set it to night mode and increase the image resolution it will give best result.
3) This is a touch phone and does not support qwerty support.
4) This phone support third party softwares and games.
I agree with Rajesh Tiwari on all the points. I have been using its wifi feature since 3 months. It is very good. A good value for money phone.
Camera clarity is a concern. Can’t zoom in normal pic mode either.
GUI is awesome.
Pattern recognition is quite dangerous, sometimes the phone lock opens up even with slightly wrong or similar character pattern on screen when in pocket.
Sound clarity is good but the speaker is provided at the back of the phone, so you need to keep the phone upside down inorder to listen to its full sound clarity.
Doesn’t really support all kind of java games because of it’s typical resolution.
Good for youngester who wanna stay connected with Wifi or internet at hotspots or home because it is loaded with most of the famous networking site softwares.

My over all experience with this cell is not good. This is not value for money.
1. Wi-Fi option is good. However when we come directly out of the Wi-Fi, it takes a while to shut down the Wi-Fi and deactivate the connection. Sometimes Wi-Fi function doesn’t deactivate by tapping the screen, I would need to restart to turn off the Wi-Fi.
2. Messages memory is very less, seriously it creates problem.
3. Message typing buffer speed is slow; I tap more words which reflect after a while on screen.
4. Screen lock-unlock option is not convenient enough. Camera button is given right next to it which gets pressed by mistake every time when tried to lock the screen.
5. Dedicated music keys are given on the front panel however they won’t work unless we unlock the screen.
6. When there is an incoming call, it takes a while to initiate the call even after repeatedly pressing the receiving button.
7. Most of the T.V. streaming sites are not supported.
8. There isn’t any option to browse the phone neither on Samsung Studio on PC. Only we can view the gallery. Executable files get installed but the location would be an abstract entity.
9. There isn’t any Stylus, sometimes screen doesn’t respond to the patter we make over it.
10. Character recognizition feature is too sensitive. Dangerous when in the pocket & if it was locked, the screen turns on itself or does the outbound call by receiving any similar pattern.
11. Interestingly, the PC software named Samsung PC Studio doesn’t recognize this phone to do the software update.
12. Most of the available free java games on the internet are not fully supported for touch screen feature.
13. Camera picture quality is not comparable with Nokia phones. Nokia rocks in this. Front Camera picture quality is also not good.
14. The 3 page menu navigation is not as smooth as other phone features.
15. This only supports 3gp video file format. Using PC studio the converted & transferred video quality results poor.
16. Bluetooth software doesn’t pair properly with Vista machines. Connection drop after a while.
