With improved Internet access as an objective, while going in for a new phone would it be better to go in for dual SIM (GSM+CDMA) and use CDMA for internet access rather than a cell phone with 3G, which is currently only available via MTNL/BSNL?
Also, how do the currently available Internet access technologies compare – CDMA (RIM/Tata Indicom) vs. GSM (AirCell/AirTel/Vodaphone)?
this phone works on older windows technology, so performance will be a big issue

i have bought this phone. its not up to the mark. gprs gps window upadte like features dont work in my phone. i think this phone is not officially launched in india. and u need to reinstall its window from indian service center.
SIR, RECENTLY I BOUGHT C6625 ONLINE FROM SHOPPING INDIA.COM THROUGH . I TRIED IN VAIN TO GET THE WINDOWS CD RECEIVED ALONGWITH THE MOBILE. SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTRES IN AND AROUND TAMBARAM, CHENNAI ARE TREATING ME LIKE ‘UNTOUCHABLE’. THEY SIMPLY SAY THAT THE HANDSET IS NOT RELEASED IN INDIA AND MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENT. I WONDER WHY THEY ARE DISOWNING THEIR PRODUCT. TILL NOW I WAS USING SGH L-700. THE WEBSITES USED BY ME WITH L700 COULD NOT BE OPENED IN C6625 for want of installation i presume.

Welcome to the Samsung Mobile users. I could not understand the strategy behind selling SGH-C6625 in India online when it does not have support through Company’s Customer Service Centres. I bought it chiefly for browsing purpose since many of the websites couldn’t be browsed through my previous handset SGH-L700. But to my dismay, SGH-C6625 is useless to operate Net-Banking facilities provided by Banks and online facilities provided by Utility Company’s such as BSNL, TNEB etc. Even I couldn’t enjoy the browsing experience had with SGH-L700. Then what is the use in keeping this Phone. Only good thing available in this phone is 2MP camera and xt9 for mailing purpose. The SAMSUNG Company must look into the problem and direct their Customer care Arm to lookinto the grievances of the SAMSUNG Mobile SGH-C6625 users who bought it through online. What sin they have committed by purchasing a Product online. Nowadays big Companys like Toyota and Maruthi Suziki are buying back their products for non-performance of their products. – SMuthukrishnan

Sirs, I have already made my comments. But will SAMSUNG Mobile India offer any solutions on this site. Still, Customer Care centres in and around Tambaram, Chennai are of no use, since they are not helping me to update Settings in SGH C-6625. They bluntly say that SGH C-6625 is not launched in India. Why Shopping India.com gave an add in Economic Times and sold this handset to me online. The whole transaction took few minutes to complete but I am undergoing horrible experience with this handset for the past 3 months since I could not open many websites commonly used by a laymen. sir, I bought c6625 from Hot Spot Delhi, unfortunately the software CD provided with it not working and the battery not giving more then 4-5 hour standby time, and 1/2 hour talk time while it claimed 7 hour talk time. The Samsung should care their customer.

I too join with mr. muthukrishnan in complaining about samsuang mobile gt c9925, bought from Indiatimes.com thru an ad. in Economic Times. Main defect of the phone is
neither bsnl nor airtel has the 3g settings for the phone.when i approached their customers care division, they told me that there was no 3g settings for the handset.
Doesn’t seem shameful to them as well as to the Samsung India Ltd.
