Airtel slashes std roaming call rates
Bharti Airtel the leading mobile operator of India with over 60 million or 6 crore gsm subscribers has announced a drop of long distance (std) and roaming charges upto 42%. Others operators may follow soon. In meantime Reliance announced plans with unlimited std calls within own network on it’s mobile and fixed wireless service. Bharti Airtel said it’s new tariff will bring end to distance with tariff in local and roaming circle almost same only incoming is to be paid additional in roaming.Tariff chart is given below

All these tariffs will be applicable from 1st of May. Other operators like Vodafone Essar, Tata Indicom, Bsnl, Mtnl have given indication to follow this soon.
