Vodafone Gprs Problem
I activated my vodafone GPRS in january this year. so since 5 months i have been using it regularly and i had never faced a problem. But since the last 2 weeks i am experiencing problems with GPRS. Whenever i want to access GPRS, my cell shows connecting via vodafone live and then after 2 secs it flashes a message saying that GPRS is not available please check network services. Now i did not request vodafone to de-activate my GPRS then how come its not active? Can you tell me what must be the problem? i scanned my mobile for Virus it was clean.

Pls check whether u hav maintaining ur balance more than Rs.50.Bcoz in vodafone,u have min bal of Rs.50 to access GPRS,otherwise u ll get msg like Packet data connection not available.
Vodafone also has some Prblm,once ur bal gets low means at all,ur GPRS wont gets disconnected. Pls switch off ur mobile for while a min n on.get t settings.maintain bal more than r rs.50.

Why don’t u try Aircel GPRS its wayyy cheaper with only 10p/10KB and they have linked it up with Facebook and yahoo Search making life easier, you might need help with setting up the GPRS according to ur handset but once that gets fixed with help from their customer care… life rolls soo smooth its unbelievable.
Aircel is pretty good, although I need more reviews to make up my mind properly, apparently there speed is meant to be one of the best due to not being as congested!
I have GPRS active since very long time and I use to access my mail through Vodafone live. However since last two months I am unable to connect to web service on my E90 mobile handset.
When I click web button it is not activating and I could not able to access my mails.
I have reffered this to helpline 111 and they sent me settings for GPRS which I saved on my mobile but still vodafone live is not active,

i have a motorola w388 and i am using aircel gprs whenever i start the browser it works but after a minute or two it shows that “error can not resolve hostname”
i can not download anyting or even log on to orkut or gmail
it shows a error message like this “your browser’s cookie settings is turned of”

I too struggled with this problem for a long time. If you have not solved the problem here is the solution…
1) Save the setting in GRPS. The only two things you need to specify; the connect to and and access point (airtelgrps.com or something like that)
2) Start>Menu> Internet Sharing. Click on it and choose your connection and click connect.
Viola, you are online. When ever it drops. Do step 2.

I have the same problem here.
But i have figured out what it is.
When using Vodafone Live you can access internet, but you cannot access services like Android market or even log in to Gmail using your HTC Desire.
You will need to activale Vodafone Mobile Connect to be able to do that.
I am thinking of switching over to airtel.
Because Vodafone Mobile Connect is way too expensive.

iam very disappointing that you are started GPRS service in srinagar. kindly started GPRS service in J&k as soon as possible.other wise iam not using your service if GPRS service started.

This is Feroz Sana and my Vodaphone pre paid mobile (9732773505) is activated for internet. Internet is also being open on mobile, but now I have been facing lot of network problems. However since last four months I am properly unable to connect to web service on my Nokia N70 mobile handset. When I click web button then I get reply “NO GATEWAY REPLY” & “LINK NOT ABELAL” or TIME OUT. I could not able to access my internet properly.

I started making complaints to customer care department about this since jun/july 2010 and till now I have made lots of complaint and everytime they say they will revert back and will solve the problem. But there was no solution given to me.

i am accessing GPRS through Videocon, this is the best speed in india . i recoment all can opt this to get good speed in browsing compared to any other gprs providers in India Vodafone is the worst in setting a GPRS in mobile and have poor customer care.

Sir, i am asking for internet setting from 10 days. But till now u r not sending. Also you have blocked my number to reach customer care. If i send my IMEI number, the reply coming is send IMEI number in correct format. I am sending message exactly how suggested by your customer care employee. Still i am getting same reply. Also your employee said i ll activate internet in your account. But even today its not yet activated. Please take correct action.

MY data pack of vodafone 98 got finished and the balance got 8 rs after that i was not able to acess internet then i recharged of 44 rs and also recharged my data pack of 98 again then i was not knowing that after recharging the GPRS pack gets activated after 4 hours.. And i used internet and my baance got to -64 rs then i again recharged my balance of 44 rs two time so my balance came somewhat 20 rs. And from that time my EDGE is not coming in my mobile and not able to access internet and heard that 50rs should be the minimum then i recharged again of 55rs and my balance is now 60 rs . NOW ALSO EDGE IS NOT COMING IN MY MOBILE AND I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCESS INERTNET….PLEASE HELP

i got 98rs plan since 31st may,
my balance is also more than 10rs,
but i CANT CONNECT to the internet since 9th june,
called customer care but just got the worst assistance.

when my data pack of 98 got finished and my balance became 8 rs so i was not able to connect to internet and then again i recharged my vodafone of 44 rs and also recharged my data pack of RS 98 and i was not knowing that after recharging the INTERNET data pack the pack gets activated after 4 hours and i used the internet and my balance got to -64 RS then i again recharged my vodafone of 44 RS two times and now the balance was RS 20. From that time my EDGE is not coming in my mobile and i am not able to access my internet. Then is saw here that minimum balance should be RS 50 and i again recharged my vodafone of RS 55 and now i have balance of RS 60 and now also EDGE is not coming in my mobile and m not able to access internet…..PLEASE HELP

I am Feroz Sana and I am using Vodafone West Bengal Circle’s services and my number is +91-9732773505.
Vodafone people are activating vas services (MATCH DAY SERVICE) by own and deduct my balance due to which it always comes to minus. I started making complaints to customer care department about this but when i call to customer care, they do not response satisfactrily and whenever i recharge my cell then after they deduct my balance. plz help me. After three times i called they do not give me any response and still i didn’t get the balance and the balance is deducted regularly. Also the call is put on hold for long time for which they charge as well.
